Chore Chart for 2–3 Year Olds (Toddlers)
A toddler chore chart works when every job is one step, visible, and finished in under a minute. These starter chores build the "I help too" habit years before real responsibility begins.
The fridge forgets. Your TV won't.
Put this exact chart on the TV your family already watches. Kids check chores off with the remote, stars add up on their own, and you see it all from your phone. No more reminding.
Chores for ages 2–3
The first six are the ones we start a chart with. The rest are there for when the routine has gone quiet and there is room for more.

What chores fit ages 2–3
At two and three, a chore chart is really a helping chart. The goal is not a cleaner house (a toddler "helping" often makes a job slower). It is the identity your child is forming: I am someone who pitches in. That identity, started this early, is what every later chart builds on.
Keep every job one step. "Clean up" is too big; "put the blocks in the red bin" is just right. Do the chore together at first, narrate it, and let them place the sticker or check the box themselves. The checkmark is the reward at this age; most toddlers do not need anything more.
Expect wildly uneven days. A toddler who fed the dog proudly on Monday may refuse on Tuesday, and that is developmentally normal. Skip the battle, keep the chart up, and invite again tomorrow. Consistency from you matters more than consistency from them.
